So I thought I took enough of a rest the other day, but apparently I didn’t. After I took my break, I went hardcore. These weekend I worked a ton and was blessed to be able to express my creativity as well. However, I frequently forget about limits when I’m having soo much fun and then… I get sick. It’s usually just a cold, but colds are annoying. So this healing remedy is amazing. I learned about it from one of my favorite podcasts, “That’s So Retrograde,” my indian friend, and my super successful business friend just drinks it all day every day. Personally, I don’t enjoy the flavor that much so I wouldn’t want to drink it every day. On the podcast, they said that turmeric can be preventative. If chocolate was preventative I would eat that every day – well I almost do. (Hey it’s good for your heart right?) I drink this combo morning and night when I’m not feeling well. Usually, after 3/4 days MAX of drinking this concoction hardcore along with rest I feel better!
Ingredients
- Turmeric
- Fresh Ginger
- Garlic
- Honey
- Cayenne Pepper
- Lemon
- 3-4 Cups of Water
**Turmeric will stain the crap out of everything so just be aware of the dishes and clothes you use/are wearing.**
Directions
- Pour 3-4 Cups of Water into a big pot.
- Cut up and squeeze the lemon in a pot.
- Cut up the ginger into cubes and then drop it into the pot.
- Cut up 2 cloves of garlic or 2 tablespoons and drop it into the pot.
- Pour 1 Tablespoon of Honey into the pot.
- Pour 2-3 Tablespoons of Turmeric into the pot.
- Pour 1/2 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper into the pot.
- Turn the heat up until it’s boiling.
- Stir frequently.
- Once it’s boiling turn it down to a simmer for 4/5 minutes.
- Then pour it into a big cup and sip until you’re feeling better.
- If the cubes of lemon and ginger disgust you – feel free to use a coffee filter as you pour mixture into a cup.
- Drink it hot!
I’m drinking it right now and you can actually feel it working! Make sure to spit/blow out your gunk afterwards (sorry to be gross). Keeping your gunk inside only keeps you sick!
